Who We Are

Life as a medical wife can sometimes be difficult. Many women struggle with resentment, exhaustion, loneliness and isolation. They've often been uprooted from their families and moved away from home, in order for their husband to build his career. For those who have children, they often feel like a single mom with almost all the childrearing responsibility falling on them.

That's where Side by Side steps in. We believe there is something unique about the support other medical wives can offer each other. We offer women a place where people understand what they are going through, where they find friends and surrogate family members, where they find help and companionship.

Side by Side is a national outreach ministry to medical wives, including all wives of medical and dental students, residents, fellows, as well as the wives of practicing physicians and dentists. It is non-denominational and evangelical in nature. Founded in Rochester, MN, it is now a branch of Christian Medical/Dental Association.

New Member Welcome Cookout!


Welcome to all of the new members! We're so excited to have you as part of our group. We hope that you will find a warm, welcoming, encouraging atmosphere.


To officially welcome all of our new members, we will be having a cookout on the last Wednesday of July, from 11-1 pm. Those of us who are current members will be providing the food. Just bring yourself and your family! The cookout will take place at Scioto Park, the same place we have all of our weekly summer meetings.


A special message regarding Kristin Sorensen and her family - They will be moving to MN, flying out the morning of July 29th. If you haven't had a chance to say goodbye to her, please send her an email or facebook message!

Summer Schedule

Dublin Ohio 01 Just a reminder to everyone that we will be meeting every Wednesday morning, from 9am-11am at Scioto Park in Dublin. On the last Wednesday of each month, we will have a potluck/cookout lunch afterwards (with the exception of June, as we will be heading to Sue's lake house). There are covered shelters, in the even of light rain, but stay tuned to the local weather forecast as we will not meet if heavy rains are expected. Come enjoy some fun in the sun!
